“Thank you very much indeed for a truly first class result.  We set you quite a challenge and you excelled!  Land regeneration is - by it's very nature - a very emotive area of work and, whilst the work undertaken is for the benefit of the local communities, these same communities are often disengaged (even disinterested).  I know therefore that you must have presented yourselves and the Forestry Commission very well indeed to have accomplished so many interviews in your limited contract period and, for which, I extend to you my sincerest thanks and congratulations for a very professional job well done."

“In August 2007, Oxfordshire County Council appointed Opportunity Knocks to undertake our largest ever amount of household surveys.  The purpose of the surveys was to provide us with comprehensive information on travel modes, purpose of journeys and the origin and destinations of those trips made by a number of Oxfordshire residents.

A target of 3,400 household interviews over a 14-week period was set.  The team at Opportunity Knocks not only met this target but they exceeded it, completing a total of 3,516 household interviews, generating well over 10,000 travel surveys from household members.  Mainly due to the professionalism and quality of the survey team, we received no formal complaints from members of the public – an exceptionally impressive feat considering the number of households that were called at and importantly the project was completed on time and to budget.

Throughout the project the team kept us fully up to speed on the progress that they were making and they were always on-hand to answer any queries that arose.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Opportunity Knocks to other organizations.”

“Over the past year Opportunity Knocks has successfully completed four pieces of survey work for both the BREW Centre for Local Authorities and Oxfordshire County Council. We continue to choose to use this company as they consistently provide us with good results, great customer service and a real understanding of the public sector.

In February 2007, Opportunity Knocks carried out some in-depth case study work for the BREW Centre, helping us to identify business resource efficiency best practice in Local Authorities across England. We were allocated a dedicated researcher who not only delivered results but also showed a genuine interest in our work and went out of their way to provide us with additional information”.

“Opportunity Knocks were appointed by Oxfordshire County Council in early 2007 to carry out household interview surveys into travel behaviour. This work involved calling in on 900 households, completing a short household questionnaire and returning to collect a travel diary that was left with all household members to complete.

While the work progressed, there were some phone calls regarding the survey, but there were zero complaints. The survey was completed on time and in fact exceeded the required 900 quota by collecting information from 942 households.

During this time I was impressed with the conduct and professionalism of Opportunity Knocks. They provided regular progress reports on the work, and I never had any doubt in the quality of the work that was being carried out. I would be very happy to recommend them on to other organisations.”
